@thescaledqueen liked for muse roulette
"You have nothing to fear from me," Rhaegar said, as he watched the young girl, her father on the other hand. Stannis had much to fear from the Dragon Prince.
"Come, if you are with me, you'll be safe."

@stellarosedutton gets a starter with Rhaegar
He knew it was dangerous for him to be here, but with the Usurper in the south sitting his fat ass on Rhaegar's throne, the North was plausibly safer than the south for him to eek out a living playing a harp for coins.
Winters Town was still dangerous though, Ned Stark had bent the knee to Robert. His loyalties were not with the Targaryens.
Still, Rhaegar knew he could make money here.
Watching the crowd, he spied a young woman watching him, and Rhaegar knew a Stark when he saw one. She reminded him a bit of his Lyanna.
"How 'bout a song, for the prettiest girl here?" He said thrusting his collection cup in her direction as he strummed a few bars on the harp.

❝ i had bad dreams about the dragons. they were coming to eat me.❞ for rhaegar @inspireswar
"It was only a dream, my sweet." Rhaegar assured, stroking Lyanna's dark hair. Nothing would harm her, while Rhaegar drew breath.
"You are married to a dragon now, Lyanna, that makes you a dragon by marriage."

7 for rhaegar @stormbcrn
7. A hug where one muse picks the other up
It felt like a lifetime since he'd seen another Targaryen. He'd hidden himself away for so long, playing the harp for money. But now, his baby sister had crossed the sea and returned to their homeland. And Rhaegar had traveled far to see her.
"Daenerys!" He called out, pushing through the gathered crowd and embracing his baby sister, in a hug so fierce he picked her up.
"It's good to see you, baby sister."

7. a hug where one muse picks the other up, for rhaegar @stormbcrn
"Little sister!" Wrapping Daenerys up in a bone crushing hug, Rhaegar lifted his youngest sibling off her feet.
"You've grown."

“Are you enjoying yourself?” (Dany to Rhaegar) @moreprofoundbonds
"What's not to enjoy?" Rhaegar asked his younger sister as he surveyed the party around them. It was the winter solstice and the Targaryens had gone North, to visit Lyanna's family.
Northerners certainly knew how to celebrate, and Lyanna was in her element, surrounded by her brother's children.
"Are you and Jon enjoying the celebration?"

Rhaegar's fingers stumbled when she said she had loyalty to House Targaryen, and the music died.
"You shouldn't say such things, my lady." He warned, even if he was the girl's uncle, he knew how dangerous it was to declare for the old regime, or any regime but the one in power.
Glancing at his cup filled with meager coins, he weighed his options, it wouldn't be enough for both food and a place to sleep.
And it was so cold here.
"But I will take you up on your offer for a meal and a place to sleep."
Stella looked at him, recognizing the tune because her father had told her that her aunt Lyanna sang it when they were younger before she left Winterfell and fell for a Targaryen "I can offer you a place to stay, and a warm meal. After all, I am Loyal to House Targaryen, and it's the least i could do. Sir Griff, come with me and get a warm meal in Winterfell." She says, her kind heart and good nature shining through as she handed him the cup carefully as she held her dress and listened to him play the song with a genuine smile that was the first one she had seen in a while because she hardly saw her siblings smile or laugh but she was always one to lighten the mood "Lady Stella Stark of House Stark"

"Then we wish you luck, that you shall have a healthy child." Rhaegar said ignoring how his sister inquired after his wife. It was no secret that Lyanna had born him the Crowned Prince and now struggled to bare even a spare.
"May the Gods bless you, little sister."
“You are to be an uncle very soon, my beloved brother. How do you feel about that?” (Dany to Rhaegar) @moreprofoundbonds
"You're already with child?" The king inquired, had his baby sister been wed no more than a month ago?
"Are you certain?"

He could feel eyes on him and Mariela, no doubt nosey courtiers who were whispering about the silver haired prince and how the lady had caught his eye.
Smiling, Rhaegar decided to give them something to whisper about.
"That is a lovely gown, did you make it yourself?"

"Allow me, my lady." The prince said pulling out a chair for the beautiful girl. The silver haired prince was nothing if not charming to a fault, especially when beautiful women were involved.
"After you have shown me such hospitality, it's the least I can do."

Taking her hand, Rhaegar collected his cup of coins and followed after Stella. It would be good to sleep in a proper bed, and eat a full meal after weeks of bedding down where he could and eating what he could afford.
"You are too kind, my Lady. I thank you for your hospitality."
Stella looked at him, recognizing the tune because her father had told her that her aunt Lyanna sang it when they were younger before she left Winterfell and fell for a Targaryen "I can offer you a place to stay, and a warm meal. Playing the opening notes to a Northern song that he had heard Lyanna sing once, Rhaegar smiled.
He knew better than to give her his real name, he was no fool, Ned Stark and his eldest true born son may be dead and gone, but that didn't mean he was safe.
"Griff, my lady." He said with a smile that could melt butter.
"Just a traveling singer, passing through, trying to earn enough for food and lodging tonight."

Rhaegar nodded, he had no sisters for his mother to pass her things along to, so upon Rhaella's death all her jewels and fine gowns would be passed to Rhaegar's wife to do with as she pleased.
"Your mother must have been a great beauty, just as you are, my lady."
